The Hawthorn house started from nothing, over five months it became transformed from a 2D model into a 3D model.
Existing Conditions Hawthorn House
The existing conditions project for the Hawthorn House was accomplished by taking the outline of the house and finding the right measurements to show an accurate representation of the house.

The Hawthorn House Demo Plan was to plan out the walls, appliances and doors that were going to be demolished.

Hawthorn Sections and Details
In the New Construction part of the Hawthorn House project, the kitchen was moved into a different room and there were new doors and windows put into the model. Columns were added to the kitchen along with a look at which furniture will be put into the house.

In the Hawthorn Elevation plan, this gives us an exact look to what the kitchen will look like from a perspective of inside the house. I wanted to add a lot of light in as well as open shelving to not cram the space.

In the Hawthorn Sections and Details we take a look at what the inside of the cabinetry will look like, what shelves will be there and what hardware will be installed.

Sketchup of the Hawthorn House
In Sketchup, I was able to 3D model my AutoCAD 2D models. This allows a more realistic view of the model and elevations to be portrayed. The details allowed through Sketchup, I was able to include furniture and apply colors and textures to the appliances/furniture.

Here is a view of the dining room and part of the living room. You can see how there is a very open concept to the house and the white makes the house feel even more open and big.
This is another angle of the overview of the house. You can see the fireplace and the den, as well as another angle of the kitchen.
This is a close look at the kitchen and the island. You can see the details in the cabinets and the backsplash.
